It is their efforts which have distilled the legacy of the past 30 years into a common mission. Enchanting, intimate and child friendly, Founder’s Camp is ideally situated to provide an insider’s view of the secrets of river life. Ten idyllic superior chalets, repose in the shade of ancient ebony and matumi trees along the banks of the Sand River. This is safari in the classic style, replete with classic black and cream ticking fabric and original mahogany beds. Deep leather couches, military chests, compass safari lamps and a riverside lounge sala, create a mood of easy luxury and laid back welcome for discerning families and travelers..
Saseka Tented Camp, Thornybush, Kruger
Suspend what you know about luxury tented camps. The latest addition to the Thornybush Collection, Saseka Tented Camp, is state-of-the-art, luxurious and imbued with idyllic African wilderness. Saseka is the Tsonga word for Beautiful. Set in the north-eastern portion of the big-5 game rich Thornybush Nature Reserve, situated in the greater Kruger National Park. Saseka, elegantly positioned on the banks of the Monwana dry-riverbed, which sweeps through the reserve, with a distinct curve in the river being a natural catalyst for the site of the main area. The lodge blends a wonderfully spacious and light, modern look with natural materials and textures, finished with elements reminiscent of a bygone era. Comprising of 8 luxurious tented rooms, each sleeping 2 people. Solid stacking glass spans the length of the tent, guaranteeing spectacular views of the bush from within your tent, be it in your bedroom or bathroom. The large private wooden-deck features an outdoor shower, as well as a splash pool and large comfortable deck chairs to bask in the African sun.

Situated within the world renowned and beautiful Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger Park – Simbavati Hilltop Lodge guarantees an exclusive, authentic and unforgettable African Safari experience. Tucked under a canopy of mopane and tamboti trees, andBeyond Ngala Safari Lodge boasts 21 classic thatched cottages, including a spacious family suite. Seven generously spacious Luxury and Family Suites and two exquisite Honeymoon Suites are luxuriously equipped with air-conditioning, Victorian ball-and-claw bath, indoor and outdoor double shower, fully stocked mini-bar and private verandah. At the Main Camp, a thatched viewing deck overlooks an active waterhole, and an open plan lounge and bar are ideal places where you can simply relax and soak up the tranquillity of the African bush at this Timbavati safari lodge. River Lodge has a feel of lived-in luxury and guests are invited to make themselves at home. 8 Luxury rooms have bathroom en-suite, lounge area with mini bar and wooden deck from which to appreciate the wild beyond. 6 Superior Luxury rooms are larger in size, and have ample open-plan bathrooms and outdoor showers. 4 of the 6 Rooms are interleading, and are therefore ideal for families and 4 River Suites (including a two bedroom and one bathroom River Suite) are located further from the public areas and are therefore more private. They have incredible river views, best appreciate from the decks. These Suites all have their own private plunge pools and also outdoor showers.
