WHEN TO VISIT ZAMBIA

“TIMING IS EVERYTHING”

The rainy season stretches from late October to April, but don't let that deter you. The rains are brief and heavy, quickly followed by clear skies. May to August brings cooler weather, ideal for game viewing with fewer mosquitoes and tsetse flies.

The Zambezi River reaches its peak in April and May, making it perfect for river rafting (although it may be closed due to dangerous conditions). The falls are most spectacular during this period, with the dense spray adding to the allure.

For the best view of the Victoria Falls, plan your visit from February to May, right after the summer rains when the falls are at their most impressive.

The dry season from May to October is perfect for game viewing, with mild temperatures and a low malaria risk. Zambia's "Green Season" from December to April offers lush landscapes but is less ideal for game viewing.
