Live 4 Africa Travel experienced some of the most incredible luxury Bush Lodges in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve in October and we are excited to tell you more about these hidden treasures!
We believe that by simply visiting a wildlife area our travellers are encouraging its continued protection through tourism revenue. For that reason, our deep commitment to conservation is matched only by our devotion to providing our guests with the
most unique and extraordinary safari experiences out there....
An exclusive 5 star lodge, Savanna is situated in the famous Sabi Sand Reserve within the greater Kruger National Park conservancy.
Savanna lies in an area where 'Big 5' sightings are so frequent, it is not unusual to see lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino in a single game drive. Famous for having the best leopard viewing in the world, the Sabi Sand area is known worldwide as 'The Land of the Leopard'.
Nine magnificent suites offer spacious and luxurious accommodation. Seven of the suites have tented roofs, blending the elegance of a by-gone colonial era with all the convenience of modern facilities. The beautifully appointed suites nestle amongst indigenous bush and trees that provide privacy, quiet and a haven for birds.
Specially designed game viewing vehicles and highly trained guides with vast knowledge of the African bushveld take guests on close and intimate encounters with a large variety of wildlife. Optional game walks are also offered to guests who would like to experience the fauna and flora on foot. Numerous nearby dams and a series of waterholes in front of the lodge attract many species, especially in the dry winter months when elephants are daily visitors.
"'Our stay at Savanna was very special! Their attention to detail goes hand in hand with their moto ....we do things differently....At Savanna you are guaranteed of being spoilt the minute you arrive! The food, service, luxury accommodation and incredible wildlife viewing opportunities allow for an unforgettable Sabi Sand safari experience. We stayed in the tent overlooking the active water hole and how amazing to lie in your bed and watch the wildlife come and go. Savanna is wonderful and they sure do do things differently! " Gelle
