EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL AND ALL THE TRANSFERS WORKED LIKE MAGIC!

Dear Gelle, We all arrived home safely on Friday after the very long journey back from Zambia via Johannesburg. Gelle, everything was wonderful and all the transfers worked like magic! We had a fabulous few days at Jock's Safari Camp, the highlight being following a pride of six lioness stalking a herd of buffalo and making a kill. We returned later in the day and they had finished it off! We also had two great leopard sightings, saw black rhino as well as many white and, of course, lots of ellies. We saw small numbers of zebra and giraffe but suspect they prefer the more open terrain in the Sabie Sands area. Besides the pride of lioness, we had many separate lion sightings. So, it was a great experience. The Lodge staff were lovely and we certainly didn't go hungry! The Johannesburg section mainly revolved around family and friends. The Balalaika was fine. The interior garden/pool area makes an oasis from the hustle and bustle of Sandton. Rooms are a little tired (which I knew ahead of time!) but the breakfast was excellent. Then on to Zambia and the Vic Falls. The lodge has a lovely situation on the river and we took a delightful sunset cruise on our first evening - saw lots of hippo, croc and birds but the water level in the river is too high at present for the elephant to use it. We could see the spray from the falls from the Lodge and took a tour there the following day. The water flow is spectacular and we got well and truly soaked! I will forward some pix this evening. Gelle, a huge thank you from us all for arranging this for us. I have passed on your name to several people, including a couple from Indianapolis whom I sat next to on the plane back to the US! All of your recommendations were perfect and it was truly a trip of a lifetime for our family! Thank you for coming to meet us at Spier and for the hats and the beautiful bag. Thanks also for forwarding the pictures of our eagle encounter. I wonder if you took your nephews there? You seem to have had lots of fun with them. Will respond to survey and try to get something on to Trip Advisor. Carol and Family from the USA ( Luxury Cape-Town , Kruger , Johannesburg and Zambia Family adventure July 2017 )
